Position Summary
Countertrade Pte Ltd is currently seeking a Tax Specialist to manage and oversee the company’s tax planning, compliance, and reporting activities. This role involves ensuring compliance with various tax laws, preparing tax returns, analyzing tax regulations, and advising on tax-related issues. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of tax legislation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tax-related projects efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international tax laws.
- Advise on tax implications of business decisions, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and analyze their impact on the company.
- Develop tax strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize compliance.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors during audits and inquiries.
- Assist in tax risk management, including identifying and resolving tax discrepancies.
- Provide support and guidance on indirect taxation issues such as VAT, GST, and sales taxes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a strong background in corporate tax compliance and planning.
- Comprehensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Compensation
- Monthly Salary: A competitive package starting at $7,500, reflecting the importance and complexity of the role.
- Annual Salary: Starting from $90,000, with potential for performance-related bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement plan, and generous leave entitlements.
