Position Overview

Countertrade Pte Ltd is in search of a Strategic Countertrade Opportunity Planner, a key role tasked with orchestrating the long-term planning and execution of countertrade opportunities. This strategic thinker will leverage insights from market research, data analysis, and system architecture to identify, assess, and prioritize countertrade deals that align with the company’s goals. The Strategic Countertrade Opportunity Planner will collaborate closely with all teams to ensure a cohesive approach to identifying and engaging with businesses suitable for countertrade deals, maximizing the potential for successful partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the strategic planning process for countertrade initiatives, setting clear objectives and measurable targets.
  2. Analyze market trends, data insights, and intelligence reports to identify potential industries and partners for countertrade opportunities.
  3. Work in tandem with the Countertrade Market Scout, Opportunity Data Miner, and Industry Matchmaker to refine the selection and engagement strategy for potential business partners.
  4. Develop and maintain a strategic opportunity pipeline, prioritizing deals based on potential impact, feasibility, and alignment with company objectives.
  5. Coordinate with the Countertrade Deal Designer and Deal Engagement Specialist to ensure that proposed deals are strategically sound and offer mutual benefits.
Qualifications 
  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Trade, or a related field.
  2. At least 7 years of strategic planning, business development, or related experience, ideally within international trade or countertrade environments.
  3. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategies.
  4. Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to influence and align cross-functional teams.
  5. Deep understanding of global market dynamics, trade regulations, and countertrade mechanisms.
Compensation
  • Monthly Salary: $9,000, translating to an annual salary of $108,000.
