Position Summary
Countertrade Pte Ltd is looking for a detail-oriented Purchase Order Specialist to join our procurement team. This role is responsible for managing and processing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of procurement processes, and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, process, and manage purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Monitor order status and communicate any delays or issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of orders, deliveries, and invoices.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Assist in the evaluation of suppliers based on performance, price, and quality.
- Support procurement projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of procurement principles and practices.
Compensation
- Monthly Salary: Competitive package starting at $4,500, reflecting the essential support role within the procurement team.
