Job Description
Position Summary
Countertrade Pte Ltd is looking for an experienced Public Policy Manager to lead our engagement with policy developments, regulatory changes, and advocacy efforts that impact our international trade operations. This role requires a deep understanding of public policy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to strategize and influence policy decisions in favor of our business interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze policy developments, regulatory changes, and legislative trends globally that could impact the company’s operations.
- Develop and implement advocacy strategies to influence policy and regulatory decisions beneficial to the company.
- Engage with policymakers, regulatory bodies, and industry associations to represent the company’s interests.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, compliance, and operations, to ensure cohesive policy positions.
- Prepare position papers, briefing materials, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the company’s response to policy consultations and draft regulatory submissions.
- Organize and participate in policy forums, roundtables, and public hearings to advocate for the company’s interests.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public policy, government affairs, or a related field, with a focus on international trade.
- Strong understanding of the legislative and regulatory processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop and execute effective advocacy strategies.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
Compensation
- Monthly Salary: Competitive, starting from $9,000, reflecting the strategic importance of the role.
- Annual Salary: Starting from $108,000, with potential for performance-related bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental and vision coverage, a retirement savings plan, and significant vacation time.
