Position Overview

Countertrade Pte Ltd is on the lookout for a Negotiation Tactics Advisor, a strategic role dedicated to enhancing the negotiation capabilities of our team by providing expert advice on tactics, strategies, and approaches for negotiating countertrade deals. This position requires an individual with a profound understanding of negotiation psychology, experience in high-stakes negotiation environments, and a track record of securing favorable outcomes. Working closely with the Trade Agreement Consultant, Deal Proposal Engineer, and Deal Structuring Advisor, the Negotiation Tactics Advisor will play a pivotal role in preparing our negotiation teams for success in complex countertrade discussions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement negotiation training programs tailored to the unique challenges of countertrade deals, enhancing the skills and confidence of our negotiation teams.
  2. Provide real-time advice and strategic guidance during critical phases of negotiation, helping to secure advantageous terms and conditions for Countertrade Pte Ltd.
  3. Analyze past negotiations to identify successful tactics and areas for improvement, applying these insights to refine future negotiation strategies.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and strategic approach to negotiation, aligning tactics with legal, financial, and operational considerations.
  5. Stay abreast of developments in negotiation theory and practice, incorporating cutting-edge strategies and techniques into Countertrade Pte Ltd’s negotiation playbook.
Qualifications 
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Psychology, or a related field. Advanced training or certification in negotiation or conflict resolution is highly desirable.
  2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in negotiation, preferably in international trade, law, or high-stakes business environments, with a proven record of achieving favorable outcomes.
  3. Deep knowledge of negotiation tactics, strategies, and psychological principles, with the ability to adapt approaches to different cultures and negotiation contexts.
  4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to quickly assess situations, understand opposing positions, and devise effective negotiation strategies.
  5. Excellent communication and coaching skills, capable of effectively transferring negotiation skills and strategies to others.
Compensation

Monthly Salary: $9,000, translating to an annual salary of $108,000.
