Position Overview

Countertrade Pte Ltd is seeking a Legal and Ethical Standards Enforcer, a dedicated role responsible for upholding the highest standards of legal compliance and ethical conduct within our countertrade operations. This position requires an individual with a strong legal background, a keen understanding of ethical business practices, and a commitment to promoting integrity throughout the organization. Collaborating closely with the Regulatory Compliance Advisor, Contractual Compliance Auditor, and Trust Assurance Officer, the Legal and Ethical Standards Enforcer will ensure that all countertrade deals and partner interactions adhere to legal requirements and ethical guidelines, safeguarding the company’s reputation and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal standards and ethical practices in all countertrade operations.
  2. Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess compliance with legal and ethical standards, identifying areas of risk and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  3. Provide training and awareness programs for Countertrade Pte Ltd employees and partners on legal compliance and ethical conduct, fostering a culture of integrity.
  4. Serve as a key advisor on legal and ethical matters, offering guidance to management and teams involved in countertrade deals.
  5. Collaborate with legal, compliance, and risk management teams to address any legal or ethical issues that arise, ensuring swift and appropriate resolution.
Qualifications 
  1. Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification, with additional training or certification in ethics and compliance highly regarded.
  2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in a legal, compliance, or ethics role, with specific experience in international trade, countertrade, or a related field.
  3. Demonstrated ability to develop and enforce legal and ethical standards within a business context.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex legal and ethical issues effectively.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering a culture of ethical conduct and compliance within a diverse organizational setting.
Compensation

Monthly Salary: $9,500, translating to an annual salary of $114,000.
