Countertrade Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Import Specialist to manage and oversee our import operations, ensuring compliance with all national and international regulations. The Import Specialist will be responsible for handling the end-to-end import process, including documentation, customs clearance, and liaison with customs brokers and freight forwarders. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of import regulations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the import process to ensure timely and compliant delivery of goods.
- Prepare and process import documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and other necessary customs documents.
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to resolve any issues related to shipment, clearance, and delivery.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all import regulations and laws, staying updated on changes that could impact the company’s operations.
- Conduct regular audits of import files for accuracy and compliance with customs regulations.
- Provide guidance and training to company personnel on import procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze and optimize import operations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in import operations or customs brokerage.
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, tariff classifications, valuation, and duty rates.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in customs brokerage software and MS Office.
- Monthly Salary: Competitive package starting at $7,500, based on the candidate’s expertise and contribution to the import operations.
