Job Description
Position Summary
Countertrade Pte Ltd is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to oversee our accounting and financial operations. This role involves managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring accuracy of financial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives.
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information, including monthly and year-end close processes.
- Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Advise on financial analyses and decision-making regarding capital investments, pricing, contract negotiations, and other matters with management and operational impact.
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and assess any changes necessary.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct and supervise.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Compensation
- Monthly Salary: Competitive, starting from $10,000, reflecting the critical nature of the role and expertise brought by the candidate.
- Annual Salary: Starting from $120,000, with opportunities for performance-related bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, dental and vision coverage, a retirement savings plan, and generous vacation time.
