Position Summary
Countertrade Pte Ltd is in search of an Export-Import Manager to oversee and manage our global trade operations. This role involves ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of goods across borders, optimizing our export-import processes, and maintaining strong relationships with international partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the export-import process, including logistics, customs clearance, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade laws and regulations.
- Negotiate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs agents to secure the best terms and rates.
- Coordinate with internal teams and international partners to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize costs and optimize export-import operations.
- Stay updated on changes in trade regulations and practices in different countries.
- Resolve any issues that arise in the export-import process, such as delays or customs problems.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on export-import activities.
- Provide training and support to team members on export-import procedures and compliance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in export-import operations, preferably in a managerial role.
- Extensive knowledge of international trade regulations and logistics.
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Compensation
- Monthly Salary: Competitive, starting from $8,000, based on experience and qualifications.
- Annual Salary: Starting from $96,000, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses and progression.
