Position Summary
Countertrade Pte Ltd seeks a dedicated Export Control Officer to manage and oversee our export control programs, ensuring compliance with national and international export laws and regulations. This role is crucial for maintaining the legal and ethical exportation of goods and technology, particularly in highly regulated industries. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of export control regulations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to navigate complex compliance issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement export control policies and procedures in line with current laws and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and compliance audits to ensure all export activities adhere to legal standards.
- Manage and apply for export licenses and agreements, ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping.
- Provide expert advice and training to staff on export control regulations and compliance requirements.
- Liaise with government regulatory bodies and stay updated on changes in export control laws and policies.
- Coordinate with sales, shipping, and legal departments to ensure seamless compliance across the export process.
- Investigate and resolve any compliance issues or violations, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Law, or a related field.
- Certification in export controls or compliance is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in export control or compliance within an international trade context.
- In-depth knowledge of national and international export control regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in compliance software and IT systems related to export control.
Compensation
- Monthly Salary: A competitive package starting at $8,500, reflecting the specialized nature of the role and the candidate’s experience.
