Countertrade Pte Ltd is seeking a Data Protection Officer (DPO) to oversee our data protection strategy and ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant data protection laws. The DPO will be responsible for monitoring our data protection policies, conducting audits, and providing guidance on data protection impact assessments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data protection laws, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex regulations to non-experts.
- Develop and implement comprehensive data protection policies and procedures.
- Monitor compliance with GDPR and other data protection laws, including managing internal data protection activities, advising on data protection impact assessments, and conducting internal audits.
- Serve as the point of contact between the company and regulatory authorities for data protection issues.
- Provide training and advice to staff on data protection matters.
- Ensure data processing operations are conducted in accordance with established privacy principles.
- Investigate and report on data breaches and other data protection incidents.
- Keep abreast of changes and developments in data protection law and best practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Information Security, or related field.
- Professional certification in data protection or privacy (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, CIPT) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data protection, privacy law, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Monthly Salary: Starting from $8,500, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- Annual Salary: Starting from $102,000, plus potential for performance-related bonuses.
