Job Description
Position Summary
Countertrade Pte Ltd is looking for a Customs Compliance Officer to ensure that our global trade activities are in full compliance with customs regulations. This role is crucial for minimizing risks related to customs and trade, optimizing our import/export processes, and maintaining the company’s reputation as a compliant and ethical trade partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with customs regulations in various countries where the company operates.
- Stay updated with changes in customs laws and regulations and communicate these changes to relevant teams.
- Advise on tariff classifications, customs valuations, duty reliefs, and trade preferences.
- Prepare and manage necessary customs documentation for import/export activities.
- Conduct internal audits and assessments of customs activities to identify areas of risk and improvement.
- Liaise with customs authorities and handle customs queries and disputes.
- Develop and implement customs compliance policies and procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on customs compliance matters.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless and compliant trade processes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Law, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in customs compliance or a similar role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of international customs regulations and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Compensation
- Monthly Salary: Competitive, starting from $7,500, based on experience and qualifications.
- Annual Salary: Starting from $90,000, with potential for performance-related bonuses and growth opportunities.
