Countertrade Pte Ltd is seeking a Countertrade Procurement Specialist, a critical role focused on managing the procurement processes within our countertrade and international trade operations. This role requires an individual with strong procurement expertise, negotiation skills, and an understanding of the complexities of international trade. The Countertrade Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing goods and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the cost-effective and efficient procurement of quality products and services in compliance with countertrade agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with countertrade agreements and company objectives, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with international trade regulations.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, prices, and quality of goods and services.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, including terms of purchase, prices, and delivery schedules, to secure advantageous terms.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the finance, legal, and operations teams, to ensure procurement activities support countertrade projects and operational needs.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance to maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information, providing regular reports on procurement performance and market trends.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with specific experience in international trade or countertrade operations preferred.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with a proven ability to secure favorable terms and manage procurement contracts.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, countertrade practices, and supply chain risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Monthly Salary: $5,500, translating to an annual salary of $66,000.
