Countertrade Pte Ltd is actively seeking a Countertrade Compliance Consultant, an indispensable role focused on ensuring that all countertrade proposals and agreements comply with international trade laws and regulations. This role requires a meticulous individual with expertise in legal compliance, a comprehensive understanding of international trade frameworks, and the ability to navigate the complexities of countertrade operations. The Countertrade Compliance Consultant will work closely with the Countertrade Deal Designer, Deal Engagement Specialist, and Countertrade Value Analyst to review proposals, guide compliance strategy, and mitigate legal risks.
- Conduct thorough reviews of countertrade proposals and agreements to ensure compliance with international trade laws, sanctions, and regulations.
- Advise on legal strategies and compliance matters related to countertrade deals, assisting in the negotiation and structuring of agreements.
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures specific to countertrade operations, ensuring all business activities adhere to legal standards and minimize risk.
- Stay abreast of changes in trade laws and regulations, advising the company on potential impacts and necessary adjustments to countertrade practices.
- Facilitate training sessions for company staff on compliance best practices, legal obligations, and risk management in countertrade operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, International Trade, or related field, with a preference for a Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal compliance, preferably with a focus on international trade law and countertrade operations.
- In-depth knowledge of global trade regulations, compliance frameworks, and countertrade practices.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
- Strong communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with internal teams and negotiating with external partners.
- Monthly Salary: $8,500, translating to an annual salary of $102,000.
