Position Overview

Countertrade Pte Ltd is actively seeking a Countertrade Business Development Manager, a strategic role aimed at driving business growth through the identification and development of new countertrade opportunities. This role requires a combination of market insight, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of international trade mechanisms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for expanding our market presence, forging new partnerships, and developing innovative countertrade solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in the countertrade and international trade markets.
  2. Develop and implement strategic business development plans, aligning with the company’s growth objectives and market trends.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and industry stakeholders, representing the company at trade shows, conferences, and other networking events.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, and legal, to ensure that new business initiatives are viable, compliant, and aligned with company strategies.
  5. Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes affecting countertrade.
  6. Lead the negotiation and closure of deals, working closely with clients and internal teams to develop tailored countertrade agreements.
Qualifications 
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in business development, preferably within the international trade or countertrade sectors.
  3. Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  5. Knowledge of countertrade practices, international trade regulations, and global market dynamics.
  6. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Compensation
  • Monthly Salary: $9,500, translating to an annual salary of $114,000.
